Pastor Jim Hurst is all about the Gospel, God’s peace and power. He heard and followed the call of God in 1985, when he began to take correspondence courses through the Assemblies of God with Global University.
In 1995, Pastor Jim resigned from his place of employment and began a full-time staff position as Facilities Manager for Bethel Temple Assembly of God in Parma, Ohio. While at Bethel Temple, he continued his studies and was licensed to preach in 1997. Pastor Jim was ordained in 2003. In 2007, he took on the addional role of Sectional Director of Men's Ministries.
Pastor Jim has a heart full of compassion for people; loving families, valuing children. Married to Carol since 1974, he is the father of two daughters and the grandfather of two.
He envisions men stepping forward to lead, not just the church, but their families as well, by living and walking a Christ-centered life. Pastor Jim’s passion for the LORD comes straight from his heart for God.

Missions minded locally and around the world, Pastor Jim has traveled to the Philippine Islands, Russia and El Salvador and has worked with numerous churches in the inner city. An avid proponent of community service, he not only believes in the importance of giving back to his community, but acts upon that belief.
